Jack Fuchs is a seasoned Criminal Defense Lawyer who has been practicing Criminal Law for the past 22 years. He is currently practicing as a West Palm Beach Criminal Defense Lawyer with The Law Offices of Salnick & Fuchs, P.A.
After graduating Cum Laude from the University of Miami, School of Law, he was employed as an Assistant State Attorney at the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office. As an Assistant State Attorney, Mr. Fuchs prosecuted all types of Misdemeanor and Felony offenses.
His trial skills earned him a position in the specialized Traffic Homicide Division. There he concentrated on DUI Manslaughter, Vehicular Homicide and Boating Fatality cases. Mr. Fuchs worked closely with the highly trained officers from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Highway Patrol and other local law enforcement agencies. Through his diligent work with these agencies, Mr. Fuchs gained a special expertise in accident reconstruction. While an Assistant State Attorney, Mr. Fuchs was appointed by the Governor to prosecute conflict Traffic Homicide cases throughout South Florida. Mr. Fuchs is one of a select few of former Traffic Homicide prosecutors practicing Criminal Defense Law in Palm Beach County.
Since leaving the office of the State Attorney, Mr. Fuchs has concentrated on working as a Criminal Defense Lawyer. Mr. Fuchs has successfully defended many DUI Manslaughter and Vehicular Homicide cases. His skills allowed him to challenge the accident reconstruction analysis relied on by law enforcement. Mr. Fuch’s close work with law enforcement in the past have earned him great advantages for his current work in Criminal Defense.
Jack Fuchs has also invested part of his career to the betterment of Law education. While attending the University of Miami, School of Law, Mr. Fuchs was actively involved in the University’s National Mock Trial Competition Team. Having won the University’s Mock Trial competition, Mr. Fuchs took his trial advocacy talents and love of teaching to the American Heritage School of Boca/Delray. There, Mr. Fuchs started their well known Trial Advocacy Program. For over ten years as a Professor of Law, Mr. Fuchs taught aspiring attorneys courtroom techniques, rules of evidence, and constitutional law. Mr. Fuchs can proudly say that many of his students are now practicing attorneys in the State of Florida and across the country.
While at the University of Miami, School of Law, Mr. Fuchs was hand selected by the University’s Dean to be the legal member on the Undergraduate Student Defense Team. As the Undergraduate Student’s representative, Mr. Fuchs defended students facing expulsion from the University due to allegations of misconduct. Mr. Fuchs represented students in front of the student/faculty counsel in both the guilt and innocence phase, as well as sentence mitigation hearings.
He has carried that natural wit and ability as a defender into his present practice as a Criminal Defense Lawyer.
